If you haven’t visited the Kitchen Garden Cafe then you really are missing a treat, not only is it the cosiest cafe/garden centre we’ve ever had the pleasure to frequent, it is also a beautifully snug venue hosting a raft of high quality arts events. One of our favourites is the monthly transformation of the KGC into the Storytelling cafe, where guests are treated to a wonderfully relaxed evening of enchanting live spoken word performances, great food and fine company. On 16th November Peter and Gorg Chand, uncle and nephew, will regale audiences with ‘Henna’. A beautifully told story that has delighted festival audiences with its inventiveness and unique perspective on Indian weddings and tradition.  On the 12th December the Storytelling Cafe will present a festive special, ‘The Stories That Made Christmas’, with Graham Langley and Pam Bishop joined by the resident story tellers. Stories, songs and entertainment to get the yuletide muscles twitching. A charming setting just a stones throw from the High Street hustle and a lovely way to spend an evening.
