OMG it’s only an ode to the rockstar of the veg plot! As if aubergines weren’t already gorgeous enough with their shiny deep purple vibes and jaunty little green hat, they also taste bloomin’ amazin’. Lending themselves to all sorts of succulent flavourful dishes with their silken skin and soft melting innards, Peel & Stone are making the most of their magnificent attributes with a night dedicated to the their gastronomic versatility and charm (the bar will be open too). Dishes will include The ode platter featuring Babba G, caponata, nasu denfaku & pickles (vegan) Mamma Brisi’s Stuffed aubergine with pork, beef, roots, oregano, garlic and barley, chipotle roasted aubergines with refried black bean, tofu ranch, rocket and pomegranate (vegan), a Gochujang aubergine steak bun and szechuan Aubergines (vegetarian). Desert comes in the form of another firm (to slightly wobbly) favourite – Portuguese egg tart – minus the aubergine we hope, but possibly a nod to its cool US handle. Aubergenius.
