We may be running out of year for cool events but those wonderful purveyors of local artistic magic at Shanty Town have found time to squeeze in one more of their thoughtfully curated events. The end of year takeover at Mama Roux’s features the usual incredible line up of music with The Culture Dub Orchestra pumping out their uniquely eclectic brand of massive dub powered rhythms, the beautiful soulful stylings of Bear and DJ sets from Piotrek Sliwinski and Tendayi Chikari plus so much more. Expect ultra cool visuals and art with an exhibition from the acclaimed Charlotte Wallis. Shanty Town is always so much more than the sum of its parts. A countercultural thinking space that enlightens, emboldens and stretches your brain faculties to a gloriously happy place. Come and have a poke around, your mind will thank you.
