It’s all going off in Moseley again this Summer, hot on the heels of the blistering line up announced for Mostly Jazz and Funk, see our preview here, comes the equally stunning bill for its sister folk festival. We may just camp in the beautiful Moseley Park and Pool all year. Headlining are festival overlords The Levellers, there was a period in the nineties when no fezzie worth its mud could pass by without an appearance from the Levellers, much like Hawkwind in the eighties. The crusty folkers have been chart and indie favourites for three decades with their anthemic rootsy folk punk agit-prop noise, expect surprises as Brighton’s finest celebrate their 30th anniversary. Other notable acts appearing are the influential Scottish sons of C86, Teenage Fan Club, ‘Alcoholiday’ please, the legendary Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, folk pioneer Martin Carthy and the riotous Skinny Lister. Check out the full listing here as it is going to be a sublime weekend of music. We really do insist that you make a special point of catching the enigmatic Jim White and his dark rootsy trawl through guns and Jesus Americana on Saturday, see you there. Tickets go on sale 23rd March.
