After the success the Birmingham based DIE DAS DER artist community had with Yr Welcome 1 and 2 it was pretty nailed on there’d be a number 3. An incredible 29 bands over 2 days for £10. Highlights for us are Saturday headliners Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam, who we’d love if they were rubbish with that name but luckily for you they happen to be damn good. Big powerful riffs with great lyrics, we smell a bit of The Cardiacs influence in there which can only be a good thing. The beautifully wistful electronica of Birmingham’s Dorcha shares the headline slot on Sunday with The Idles brand of alternative noise and mass hair. We can’t wait, so many cool bands this is going to be special. After the bands DJs will be taking you into the small hours.
