Popular Birmingham coffee shop, Yorks Café, has announced it will be opening a brand-new site this autumn.

The team’s fourth venture will operate in the heart of the £1.2bn Paradise Birmingham development, combining the venue’s signature daytime offering with a new evening menu.

The open plan venue, off Chamberlain Square, will feature floor to ceiling windows and two full-service bars across two floors. Interiors will blend industrial elements with an ‘organic charm’, featuring exposed concrete walls and metal fixtures that have been softened by muted pink accents and an array of plants.

By day, visitors can enjoy Yorks’ in-house roasted coffee and brunch, while later on there’ll be a specially curated list of natural wines, cocktails, and local beers.

In line with Yorks’ goal to implement a zero ultra-processed food policy, the menu plans to showcase ‘gut-positive dishes, alongside ferments, ethically sourced meats, and a wide range of plant-based ingredients.’

Yorks says it will continue to work with local suppliers in both the kitchen and the bar. This includes partnering with the team behind Wine Freedom for a special wine list comprised of a range of globally sourced natural wines.

Simon Ford, Founder and Owner of Yorks Café said, “We’re on an incredibly exciting journey here at Yorks. Since 2012, our mission has been to become the best part of our customer’s day through premium coffee and a globally inspired brunch offering. But now it’s time for a new chapter in the Yorks story as we become an all-day destination with a beautifully curated list of cocktails and natural wines and a new evening menu designed to share. Our new venue will be the perfect reason to visit Yorks every hour of the day.”

Ross Fittall, Commercial Development Director at Paradise Birmingham developer and asset manager MEPC, said: “Yorks is not just a welcome addition to the flourishing leisure and culinary offer across the Paradise estate, it’s opening also comes at a great point in the year with our busy autumn and winter seasons driving demand for places to eat, drink and relax. From breakfast and brunch through to lunch and dinner, Yorks Café will bring further choice and another independent venue to the heart of Paradise and the heart Birmingham.”

Yorks will open at Paradise Birmingham on Tue 8 Oct.
