The US punk rock stalwarts have been playing their particular brand of melodious hardcore for a quarter of a century. Formed in 1985 by legendary punk rock guitarist Brian Baker (check out his CV) after the straight edge pioneers Minor Threat split. Debut album ‘Can I Say’ is a blueprint for the harmonious and less aggressive emo punk that followed the hardcore scene. There’s a new single ‘Cold Heart’ out on the wonderful Dischord Records, they may be much older and wiser (and balder) but Dag Nasty still rock.
