Led by multi instrumentalist John Elliott, The Little Unsaid are finally reaping the rewards from two years of intensive touring with the fourth crowd funded album Fisher King garnering much critical acclaim, not least from BBC Radio 2’s whispering Bob Harris who has lauded the bands ‘extraordinary music’. Recalling the willful wistful folk rhetoric of Jim White and the melancholic overtones of messers Cave and Cohen, The Little Unsaid are all this and more. Never afraid to usurp listener expectations by throwing in an electronic curve ball or upping the tempo, our favourite example being ‘Lead the Way’ with its  almost Postal Service rhythm.

Elliott is an enigmatic and unique talent best appreciated live. Sat 22 Oct 7pm at Ort Arts Cafe, 500 Moseley Road, Birmingham B12 9AH £7 http://ortcafe.co.uk/the-little-unsaid/
