There have been a few farewell tours over the years, and we went to most of them, but we are assured that this is really it. The End tour fittingly culminating in Birmingham, with the progenitors of heavy metal and the greatest rock juggernaut the world has ever seen coming full circle and returning home. It’s been some journey from first gig in 1969 at The Crown on Station Street, still sadly lying closed and decrepit, to the Genting Arena in 2016. Birmingham’s most famous musical son’s redefined music and have been oft imitated but never bettered, or even equaled. Tony Iommi’s bludgeoning riffs, that spawned a genre, have never lost an ounce of their jackhammer power. This is your last chance ever to bang that head to the Sabs live. They have taken us through the centuries to supersonic years and we will never forget them.
