Start stoking up all appetites now, the first Seasonal Market of 2017 gets under way canalside this Saturday with all sorts of streetfood, sounds, arty happenings and urban fun afoot. Alongside the usual sizzlin’ hot food stalls like Holy Moly Macaroni, Smoqued, The Kebab Cartel and Buddha Belly (to name but a few) there’ll be artists and makers, DJs and a variety of quirky bars and purveyors from a real ale double-decker to the Little Gin Company and the Cocktail Caravan crew. The indoor art market will also be rammed to the rafters with local makers and crafty shakers showcasing their creative wares from vintage clothes & records to handmade jewellery, clothing, books, ceramics, homewares and accessories and a wide range of artisan food makers getting in on the act. Kids are well catered for too with free entry for under 12s, bouncy castle, face paints and kids crafts, alongside the cakes… oh so many cakes. Let the sun shine, we’re ready for a bun fight.
