The Indians Are Coming | Sun 3 Sep | Glee | £18
Four of the best Indian comics on one bill in a show hosted by the wonderfully monikered and hilarious double act Chuckle Singhs. Pick of the lineup for us is the arch miserabilist and award winning Sunil Patel. Never frightened to mine a dark seam of chronic bleakery for laughs his deadpan demeanour is a malicious delight. Also appearing are social conscience comedian Jay Sodagar, local hero Mickey Sharma and actress and comedienne Sukh Kaur Ojla. www.skiddle.com

Guz Khan | Wed 6 Sep | Dark Horse | £7
The Coventry born comedian better known as Guzzy Bear has been a comic in the ascendency since his character Mobeen’s ‘Pakisaurus‘ You Tube video went viral in 2015 and his subsequent Twitter campaign to #BoycottJurassicWorld garnered international news interest. Tongue firmly in cheek and delivering biting satire through a range of characters, including himself, Guz is an hilarious energy blast live. www.skiddle.com

*Cancelled* Tanyalee Davis | Wed 6 Sep | Patrick Kavanagh | Free
Short on height and big on laughs, Canadian comedian Tanyalee Davis has been making audiences crease for nearly two decades. A regular on UK TV screens appearing on shows as diverse as The Last Leg; Live At The Apollo and I’m Spazticus, her live shows are good natured and filled with an easy self-deprecation that manages to be both engaging and disarming. A cute trick. www.facebook.com

Paul Chowdhry | Sun 17 Sep | Symphony Hall | £22.50
A fearless comic who has managed to polarise audiences with his bulldozing of political correctness, 2014’s PC’s World led to a scathing review in The Guardian as he blitz through a raft of taboo’s. Chowdhry continues to sell out tours and he has undoubtedly tapped into a raw nerve in the contemporary cultural zeitgeist. Is it 21st century Jim Davidson in a shiny suit or a razor sharp attack on lazily accepted norms? Sit back and enjoy the fireworks.www.thsh.co.uk

Tom Stade | Wed 20 Sep | Glee | £17.50
Let Canadian comedian Tom Stade hold your hand and guide you through these precarious times in new show ‘I Swear’. An apt title considering the blaze of foul language that peppers Stade’s on stage routine, the abrasive comic pulls no punches as his laser guided wit focuses on the vagaries of the modern age, oh and the joys of driving a 2002 Honda Civic. Be prepared to engage as Stade’s shows can go in any direction dependent on audience reaction. Interesting fact, Tom was once mugged in Bilston. www.glee.co.uk

Robert Newman | Fri 22 Sep | mac | £16
One half of the early nineties trailblazing ‘rock and roll’ comedy duo, the other half being David Baddiel, that stuck a rocket up the behind of comic convention with its marriage of sublime wit, invention and challenging political discourse. Newman’s intelligent and sometimes unsettling humour has always set him apart from his peers, new show ‘A History Of Western Philosophy’ draws on material from his award winning radio show exploring the brain, ‘Neuropolis’. You know what to expect. See that comedy genius? That’s you that is. macbirmingham.co.uk

Rob Brydon | Thu 28 Sep | Symphony Hall | £32.50
Who wouldn’t want to spend a couple of hours in the company of the urbane and loquacious Rob Brydon? We’re convinced his reassuringly dry tones are behind nearly every advert voiceover on television, not to mention his terrestrial ubiquity on shows such as ‘Would I lie To You’ and the gloriously hilarious ‘The Trip’. ‘I Am Standing Up…’ is Brydon’s first tour since 2009 and has already sold out one night at The Symphony Hall so don’t hang about. www.thsh.co.uk

Danny Bhoy | Sat 30 Sep | Old Rep | £15
The Scottish comedian brings his latest show to The Old Rep and it’s quite a mouthful, ‘Making Something Great Again For Stronger Better Future Tomorrow Together’. Danny Bhoy’s campaign slogan has its tongue wedged very firmly in its cheek, expect more of his exquisitely timed observational stories delivered with that delicious Scottish drawl. Engaging and very very funny. www.oldreptheatre.co.uk
