Folk musicians don’t come any more legendary than the great Roy Harper, working with a raft of icons such as Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and Kate Bush to name just a few. In a career spanning 50 years Roy has released some 32 albums and is the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. The 75th birthday celebration tour will see Harper accompanied by a string and brass ensemble. In a musical canon overflowing with so many classics it’s hard to pick a favourite but we’ve always had a soft spot for ‘Loony on the Bus’. A real living legend.
