This cutting edge night of spoken word, art, dance and music billed as part gig, part meal is an exciting attempt to meld emerging talent with more established artists of every genre and give them an opportunity to meet. Cultural networking if you will. The stops have well and truly been pulled out for PA/NG’s second appearance. The multi award winning and extensively published poet and playwright Sabrina Mahfouz headlines. Also appearing is the terrifyingly unique Ginny Lemon, who will be performing a curious hybrid of beats, glamour and comedy whilst possibly engendering a ‘womping’ episode in your knickers. Dance company Humanhood present a new piece entitled ‘Nomadis’, Chloe Clarke will recite some of her heavyweight spoken word pieces on subjects as diverse as mental health and love, and Birmingham’s own rapper songwriter the incredibly successful Zara Sykes makes a welcome return to the city. We’re just scratching the surface here, with visual art, live art, performance, music and soup, PA/NG is an arts event like no other and kudos has to go to co-promotors The Vibe and Next Gen for curating such a prestigious lineup. Visitors are requested to bring ID as different coloured wristbands will be given out depending on age.
