Find Shakespeare a bit stuffy, stiff and serious? Not if you visit Oddsocks’ outdoor productions of the bard’s most famous works this month at the mac. Their steampunk musical adaptation of Macbeth is hilarious. Energetic, rude and contemporary, the Scottish play is a thrill kill ride through witches, blood and murder. Featuring a feast of killer songs to carry the story along such as ‘Frontier Psychiatrist’ and ‘Live and Let Die’. Romeo and Juliet is given a riotous sixties theme as the Montague’s and Capulet’s become feuding mods and rockers driven by a soundtrack filled with classic tunes such as The Jam.  Let’s pray for sunshine but it’s an outdoor event so bring a coat, brolly and sword (sword optional).
