Hot and fresh on the heels of last week’s awesome arts showcase at Birmingham European (BE) festival, Theatre For Young Audiences England and Ireland give you On The Edge Festival, a world festival for young audiences. Again, inclusivity is key, this time with age no limit. Babies can enjoy Out of the Blue, while toddlers will delight at the trampoline based fun of Boing! Teenagers and older children can immerse themselves in theatre sans frontieres too, with The Broke ‘n’ Beat collective, a hip-hop based performance that explores the lives of young people in the UK , plus our personal favorite, The Hamilton Complex, in which 13 teenage girls look at the moments their lives begin to change. Don’t forget to check out I Think I Can at the Library of Birmingham. The festival runs for a week from the 2nd of July and is being hosted by the Birmingham Rep but takes place at various venues across the city including the University, Library, Hippodrome and mac. Keep an eye out for our selected highlights…

Sat 2 Jul – Sat 9 Jul. At various venues, hosted by Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Centenary Square, Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2EP. Tel: 0121 236 4455.
