Giving all sorts of new meaning to the terms hot and fresh, The Indian Brewery opened its doors in a rather cool n’ cosy spot underneath the railway arches near Snowhill in January. This funky new endeavour claims to focus on three elements: artisan Coffee, Indian street food and craft beer, including their own Birmingham brewed beers & Birmingham Lager on tap. Actually though, it’s not just the hot & fast food, liquor and sassy surrounds that’s been driving all the punters mad and hogging the epicurian spotlight, but the properly gorgeous and outrageously immodest pink sauce wrapping itself all over those feisty big dishes. The pimped-up Fat Naans give it large with their Chicken Run or Veg Delight options and the Chaat Bomb’s explosion of chopped samosa and chickpeas, yoghurt & chutney covered in sev sprinkles kind of speaks for itself. Branding savvy sauce, Birmingham Lager in a self styled can. hip, shiny diner surrounds, streetfood flair, Pakora Pops, Dosa Rolls, Fusion full breakfasts and classic Indian pop it’s no wonder it’s been an instant on-trend hit. Make ours a Thumbs Up.
