Adrian Berry’s production is a beautifully incisive meditation on the nature of obsession. Martin is a David Bowie obsessed teenager afflicted with a host of debilitating issues, alcoholic mother and eating disorder to name just two. On his eighteenth birthday he receives a letter from his absent but equally Bowie obsessed father that sets in motion a road trip of sorts in the footsteps of the Thin White Duke himself.  Alex Walton is nothing short of astonishing as Martin and his mesmerising stage presence commands a reverential awe from the audience. With an uber cool Bowie soundtrack and the disembodied voice of Rob Newman as the legendary pop star, this is a compelling and relevant piece of live theatre. Moving and intelligent.
