A brand-new comedy night is set to launch against the unique backdrop of Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery this autumn.

Comedy at the Museum promises to bring a top tier line-up of performers from the British comedy circuit to the unlikely surroundings of the venue’s historic Tearoom on Thu 4 Sep.

The opening night will see MC Matt Price and comedians Mike Gunn, Cally Beaton and Larry Dean take to the stage. Price has appeared at a variety of major comedy clubs in the UK, as well as numerous independent comedy clubs and 15 Edinburgh Festivals.

Mike Gunn has a history which is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life. During his comedy career Mike has supported the likes of Lee Mack, Jo Brand and Alan Davies.

Cally Beaton first took to the stage after a chance conversation with legendary American talk show host and comedian Joan Rivers. Her television appearances include QI, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Live At The Apollo, Pointless Celebrities, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Countdown’s Dictionary Corner and The Blame Game.

Larry Dean is an award-winning comedian, writer and actor who has been nominated three times for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his sellout, critically acclaimed solo stand-up shows. His broadcasting career credits include the Royal Variety Performance 2024, two appearances on Live at the Apollo (once as host), Mock the Week, House of Games, Roast Battle, World’s Most Dangerous Roads, The Stand Up Sketch Show, The Comedy Roast for SU2C, and Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.
