The Electric have surpassed themselves with this event, they have a history of organising highly imaginative screenings themed around a food and drink event but we are positively salivating with expectation at this one, sorry. The theme is 1920’s Paris, so time to dust off the dinner jacket and flapper dress, ladies be sure to dig out that Cloche hat from the back of your wardrobe. Guests arrive at the award winning Annexe restaurant, a venue that simply oozes vintage atmosphere, to be greeted with champagne cocktails, what else? Enjoy a three course Parisien themed menu, with vegetarian options, whilst being entertained by the mood setting gypsy jazz swing of Strumpit.  Following the meal a vintage bus will transport diners to the Electric for cocktails, music and an exclusive screening of Woody Allen’s Oscar winning romantic comedy Midnight in Paris. We’re already perfecting the Charleston for the post movie dance. C’est magnifique.

Fri 12 May 7pm at Annexe, 220 Corporation St, Birmingham B4 6QB (from) £74.80 www.theelectric.co.uk
screening takes place at Electric at 10.30pm.
