With comparrisons to everyone from Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers to Jack Johnson and Richie Havens, the one thing fans of Michael Kiwanuka’s gentle retro soul and beautiful easygoing sounds can probably agree on is the very obvious carefully honed talent that the British singer songwriter possesses. Kiwanuka made musical waves after the release of his debut album Home Again four years ago and he returns to Birmingham with his sophomore release, Love & Hate. Don’t hang around for tickets.
