Magic Door returns with its first party of the year, taking over Lab 11’s terrace, warehouse, yard and intricate maze of hidden spaces. This isn’t your regular club night. Magic Door is more of an experiential journey; a vibrant empire of escapism, hidden away from the mundane outside world where party goers can feel at home even in the most outrageous of outfits. Expect to be engulfed by copious amounts of glitter, pulsating disco, house and enticing techno. Magic Door really is an epic endeavour which takes a huge team of people to prepare for each party, from the Crafty Girls doing makeup, to the infamous Guardian of the Door, lighting and visual technicians that create this sensory overload and the behind the scenes family who act as the glue, holding this hedonistic heaven in place. It’s always a unique clubbing experience; they don’t announce the special guests ’til on the night to add to the suspense, but previous guests have included PBR Streetgang, Waifs and Strays and Death On the Balcony, so expect high calibre selectors. Magic Door will without a doubt be kicking off their 5th Birthday celebrations in their usual style; a sensory spectacular with glitter and grins galore. All earlybird tickets sold out fast, so get tickets early to avoid disappointment.
