There was a period in the 90s when no festival worth its salt could pass by without an appearance from the Levellers, much like Hawkwind in the 80s. Possessing a strong affinity with the New Age Travellers, the burgeoning free festival movement and producing music that appealed across the board, the crusty rockers have been chart and indie favourites for over two decades with their anthemic rootsy folk punk agit-prop noise. The band will be performing classic album ‘Levelling the Land’ in full to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Our favourite track? ‘One Way’, especially when it’s performed on the pyramid stage to an enormous Glastonbury crowd. Look up their 1994 Glasto gig for proof! Support comes from Ferocious Dog (on a rope probably)
