Kaleidoscope and Planet Art Project collide for a bank holiday culture feast starring prog-rock six-piece The Mothers Earth Experiment, the band are Zappa to the core, from their geeky funk-rock grooves, to their dense psychedelic atmospheres and their unabashed ecological proselytising. ‘Cool Down Mama’ is a case in point, clean licks, bellbottom-tight grooves, bongo jams and straight-up freaky breakdowns. An eclectic line up is completed by Dead Coast, The Americas, Brain Food, NonSuch and As Mamas, with a raft of DJs keeping the beats pumping all night and several local artists exhibiting their work, Monday will be a culture comedown.
