Jeff Wayne’s hit musical version of The War of The Worlds will touch down in Birmingham this spring.
Marking 130 years since the publication of HG WELLS’ dark Victorian tale, the show comes to bb pulse LIVE on Fri 18 Apr.
Conducted by Jeff Wayne, the production features Liam Neeson in 3D holography as The Journalist, who recounts his story of survival from the Martian invasion of 1898.

Fresh from a UK arena tour, and sell-out date at Wembley, Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds has confirmed he’ll be lending his vocals towards battling the Martian invasion, as he announces he’s joining the cast of Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds The Spirit of Man Tour 2025.
The new cast will also include The Wanted’s Max George and ex-Eastender’s Maisie Smith playing the married couple Parson Nathaniel & wife Beth.
Also joining is the winner of The Masked Singer 2023 and frontman of bands Busted and Fightstar, Charlie Simpson who’ll be playing the role of The Sung Thoughts of the Journalist, Anna-Marie Wayne steps up as Carrie (the Journalist’s Fiancée), whilst Nathan James takes on The Voice of Humanity.
