Hold on to your sun hats because a new wave of Japanese punk rock is bursting into Birmingham in a shiny blast of cute bubblegum pop noise and sunny enthusiasm. Mutant Monster were formed by sisters in high school in 2011 and quickly drew attention with their spiky and colorful punked up pop tunes drawing on a love of the Clash and the Ramones. Joining them are fellow J-Punkers Touch My Secret who bring their own brand of melodious punk rock fizz to the party. Current tour is the First time in the UK for both bands. A lot of fun and energy and come on, when was the last time you got the the chance to see two mostly female Japanese punk pop trio’s rock out big style. Bara Bara kids.
