Celebrate International Women’s Day by doing things a little differently, take yourself to Mama Roux’s for a showcase of emerging female talent in the West Midlands. The F Word, in partnership with EQ Recordings & Management and Live Arts Show, promises an eclectic line up. Headlining the event is the acclaimed Lady Sanity the empowering female emcee who made multinational waves after last year’s Glastonbury performance and her work worldwide with producers, rappers and singers over the internet. Taking musical inspiration from multiple genre’s, expect influences like Lauryn Hill, MC Lyte and Missy Elliot. Other acts include Call Me Unique, a songwriter heavily influenced by jazz, soul and the forgotten art of jazz scat-singing who combines these elements with modern rap, beautiful melodies and soulful, thought-provoking lyrics as well as Jamaican born singer/writer Janel Antoneshia, hotly tipped Mai Saskia and the vocal powerhouse that is Klow,
