Being Human is a national festival of the humanities quite breathtaking in scope with events in nearly fifty cities across the UK aimed at engaging the public in fundamental questions and debate, the biggest of which is who are we? To help second city inhabitants find the answer to this and other important philosophical conundrums events are taking place at The University of Birmingham, Impact Hub and Vivid Projects. Rights Wot Rights? is presented by The Repeater collective featuring newly digitised footage from The Birmingham Trade Union Resource Centre, a fascinating insight into local grass roots activism. Must Bankers Be Bad? Is a discussion on how endemic the perceived loss of morality actually is in the implacable financial institutions that control our futures. Check out the full Being Human schedule here.
