It’s not called Mother’s Ruin for nothin’. A good quality gin is one tasty mofo of a spirit whose edge-blurring qualities offer the kind of ‘tranqy’ salve to the soul that is also sought out by good time gals & guys… as well as offering (ahem) the more sophisticated palate a plethora of juniper-infused joys. So behold with delight A World of Gin’s festival, which celebrates the good stuff in all its variable glories for a whole weekend of gin-themed fun within the majestic underground vaults of the Municipal Bank. Aside from the surrounds and hard stuff itself, other gin joys to be had include a DIY G&T station featuring build-your-own drinks selected from a variety of gins, tonics and garnishes from spicy niceties to berries and bark. Gin masterclasses will turn you into an instant Gin-genius and (once you’ve had a few) there’s gin hoopla, gin-cured salmon and a gin-themed treasure hunt. There’s also a free G&T from any bar included in the price of the ticket. Hic! Make mine a pint.
