The Welsh psychedelic rockers have been going strong since 1993 and show no signs of slacking. Their unique brand of surreal lyrics, Gruff Rhys’ wispy vocals and Huw Bunford’s swirling riffs make for a beautiful noise. Possessed of a relentless consistency that sets them apart from their peers, SFA are one of the greatest bands of the last 20 years. Imaginative and cocksure there is ne’er a duffer in their immense back catalogue. The boys will be playing their first two albums ‘Fuzzy Logic’ and ‘Radiator’ in full. Can we pick two favourite tracks? ‘Hermann Loves Pauline’ concerning love and Einstein’s parents if you will. Beautiful. And the greatest song about football ever, the Robin Friday inspired ‘The Man Don’t Give a Fuck’ containing a record number of that particular expletive. Kudos to the boys, that amount of fuckery isn’t easy.
