If you were thinking of having a nice calm bank holiday Sunday then our advice would be to steer well clear of the Blue Piano this weekend. The city’s most renowned musical party animals and sartorial legends Rhino and The Ranters will be whipping up a frenzy of barnstorming cow punk noise, attitude and energy in the BP’s beautiful garden. Drown in a swamp of sludge fuelled rock and roll laced with a good naturedly abrasive demeanour, think punk rock hoedown. As Mamas will be providing raucous support, for a duo they make an unholy racket of dirty big riffs and riotous percussion. We recommend bringing a spare set of thighs as yours will be raw from the industrial strength slapping a Ranter’s gig will engender. Yee Haw.
