This nothing short of legendary band have managed to stay hip and relevant throughout three decades of experimentation, from jangly indie rock beginnings to today’s psych-rock-electronica behemoths. Their music has always had an uncanny way of tapping into the counter cultural rhythmic zeitgeist not least because as a band, they will always produce what feels right for them without pandering to external influences. Who else could get away with releasing a single entitled ‘Kill all Hippies’ as a follow up to ‘Swastika Eyes’? New album, their eleventh, ‘Chaosmosis’ continues Bobby Gillespie’s singular creative ‘to hell with you all’ musical vision. Eighties throwback synth pop dance mash up ‘(Feeling Like A) Demon Again’ is released as a single on October 28th. Tickets go on general sale Fri 16 Sep at 9am, Pre-sales start Wed 14th Sep (register online). Be there.
