The dub producer extraordinaire started On-U Sound Records in 1980 and with it created a unique and distinctive flavour of dub. To be remixed or produced by Adrian Sherwood is a stamp of absolute authority on any release, and if that release is an On-U Sound record then turn the bass up to to 11, put on your crash helmet and expect the world to start disintegrating as the low rumbling dub bleeds into your soul. You can actually stand still at one of his gigs and the vibrations will move you across the room! Music production royalty doesn’t come any more respected. Working with artists as diverse as Depeche Mode, Primal Scream, Lee Perry, Mikey Dread and Einsturzende Neubauten to name a few, Sherwood has made the On-U sound a genre in itself. We intend to worship at the altar of dub!
