The Brighton four piece have given short thrift to the perceived demise of simple jangly guitar pop and earnest lyricism with their winsomely lilting melodies and fuzzed up rhythms. Their latest self-titled album, released in March, is part indie throwback and all earnest personality as the fresh faced southern lads tackle the subjects that really matter, girls and more girls. It’s meaningful, potent and deliriously unique, all songs pointing towards the skies with an energising sonic potency. Support comes from Spector and Drop Gloss.
