We were going to say ‘possibly’, but there’s no possibly about it. Statement of fact: Kraftwerk are quite simply the most influential band in modern music. Since forming in 1969 in Dusseldorf and evolving through Krautrock up until the release of seminal and legendary album ‘Autobahn’ in 1974 Kraftwerk have redefined how music is created, performed and remembered. There has been no new material since the 2003 ‘Tour de France’ soundtracks and only Ralf Hütter remains of the original members but their art and sound remains pertinent, contemporary and important. The 3D show has until now been the preserve of exclusive worldwide art gallery screenings, such as the eight day retrospective at New York’s MOMA in 2013, well brush off your 3D glasses because they are coming to the Symphony Hall in 2017.
