Johnny has taken quite a musical voyage before embarking on his current solo venture. Finding initial success in the short lived indie rock band Operahouse before becoming a founder member of Tribes. The heavier sound of Tribes was driven by Lloyd’s powerhouse grungier guitar style, the band finding great success with the single ‘We Were Children’ being declared ‘Hottest record in the world’ by Zane Lowe. Such a shame the band fizzled out after being on the cusp of greatness and attracting the attention of rock gods such as Frank Black. Well now Johnny is back with a new solo EP, the sweetly melancholic ‘Dreamland’, and a tour. Expect an edgy darkness with songs like ‘Hello Death’ and an artist in the midst of reinventing himself.
