Jessie Cave has made her name as comedian and cartoonist with a searing honesty that elicits at times uncomfortable, but always generous, laughs. A cathartic rampage through the unpleasant splendour of relationships, self-esteem and sex, familiar ground for comics admittedly, but Jessie adds an aching charm to her performances that is impossible to resist. Her new show, Sunrise, explores the human and emotional detritus that inevitably follows break ups and the process of getting one’s life in order, and all before the kids wake up.
