This impressive line-up of four local(ish) bands is headed by Shrewsbury’s finest indie popsters Foxcover, who have been making big waves over the last 12 months. Appearing on BBC Shropshire’s Introducing in March with a blistering set of perfectly formed tunes including a barnstorming rendition of Viola Beach’s ‘Swings and Waterslides’. Throw in a cracking set at Oxjam and we think these guys are going places. Coventry’s Quarry have a harder edged and eclectic indie sound drawing on several influences including hip hop.  Also appearing are Birmingham’s own fresh faced indie boys The Clause and the beautifully monikered Junior Weeb. That’s less than £2 a band to support local original talent. If we find out you’ve been slinking off to watch a covers band instead we won’t be impressed.
