A brand new cultural festival is set to bring more than 40 free events to parks across Solihull this summer.

Fresh Air Theatre has been organised by Solihull Culture and will run from Sun 30 Jun – Sat 31 Aug. Guests can expect a programme of world-class theatre, dance and music.

Highly Sprung’s CastAway is a stunning outdoor performance that explores the impact of throwaway society on our waterways. Featuring a unique gyroscopic flying machine, the all-female cast immerses audiences in an underwater world on Sat 17 Aug (Tudor Grange Park) and Sun 18 Aug (Lavender Hall Park).

Elsewhere, there’s theatrical storytelling with The Chelmsley Tale in multiple parks across the Borough from Mon 19 – Sat 24 Aug, inspired by fairy tales of Chelmsley Wood, Ascension Dance’s The Other SideA thrilling physical performance rooted in the idea of bridging differences and divides and Parade; a moving performance by Autin Dance Theatre influenced by the beauty, power, and impact of people from different walks of life coming together.
