Local boy done good Goldie will be giving the drum and bass choons a rest to play an exclusive reggae set at the Wray’s Rum Tings unique day party hosted at the ever wonderful Rainbow Venues roof terrace. Running from Midday to 10pm, how they are going to fit everything in we really don’t know! That’s not for you to worry about though, just get there, soak up the sun and enjoy a dizzying array of Jamaican culture including music, food, drink, graffiti and even games. Among the other artists appearing will be the always reliable punk dub spinning legend Don Letts, the Iration Steppas with their ‘inna year 3000 dubz style’ and Daddy Nature. There’s a live graffiti wall curated by Birmingham’s own City of Colours Festival. Look out for Wray’s drinks trolley, Roots Yard jerk BBQ, the Reggae Rum Punch Relay Race and if things get too much why not relax with a game of dominoes. If the sun stops hiding this could be a belter.
