Club: Josh Herring’s Italo Disco at The Dark Horse
A whole evening of hi-nrg Italian dance music is just the thing to get your weekend off to the best possible start. When the world began to forget about disco, down in Southern Europe the funky beats kept pumping, thanks mainly to the efforts of German record label ZYX. Cheesy, glitzy and always pumped up with an enormous grin, strap in because you will be dancing, its rocket groove is irresistible. Josh Herring will be performing new tracks inspired by possibly the friendliest genre in world dance music.

Club: Lost Society at The Hare and Hounds
Those progressive techno boffins Lost Society rock up at Kings Heath for their first show in a year, pumping out hard beats for four years, hopefully this is the start of regular parties for them at The Hare and Hounds. Dead Summers are not only bringing their chemical fused sonic rock along but also a camera crew to film the whole event. It’s a wonderfully eclectic line up that includes funk messengers Melotone, the lo-fi indie noodling of Flares and the most hated band in Birmingham, nay the world (probably), as Shaun Gambowl and the Plagiarists get all shouty and snotty with a sharp Brummie twang.
