Whit Gutler and the Djinns at the One Trick Pony Club
The eccentric and mysterious sometime vaudevillian Whit Gutler has been looking for a home since the destruction of his beloved Djinn Bar in 1919. He is possibly over a hundred years old if legends are true. Gutler is bringing his peculiar brand of balladeering to the One Trick Pony backed up by his loyal band the Djinns. Psychedelic blues warriors Byron Hare will be providing suitably noisy support.

Cracked Actors live at Dark Horse
The legendary Brummie punks, or skunkrockers as they would have it, have been raising hell forever or at least that’s how it feels (it’s actually since 1999 fact lovers). A ubiquitous presence over the years at festivals and squat gigs they are an absolute blast live and their particular brand of unruly musical mayhem will get any party started. Joined by fellow grizzled festival die hards the 10 o Clocks provide support and DJ Don Carlo from the legendary Green Street Sound System.

Czechoslovak Film Night at Gunmakers Arms
The Czech New Wave of the sixties and early seventies was one of the most creative periods in world cinema. Tonight’s screening is Postřižiny (Cutting It Short) a classic comedy from one of the Czech New Wave heroes Jiří Menzel. Riffing on silent movies throughout, the film has been compared to Chaplin and Tati and some of the imaginatively staged slapstick is riotously funny.

From local theatre companies to artistic individuals with a stagey glint in the eye all are welcome to perform.

Birmingham Horror Group ft. Night of the Living Dead at the Gunmakers Arms
Fright fanatics are in for a treat this month as the Birmingham Horror Group will be screening the George Romero classic that really got the fascination with on screen zombies underway and moved away from the weak undead B-movie tropes that had gone before.
