A wonderland of treasures for the senses, a spectacular journey of magical childhood adventures, tribal lunacy and high-spirited wild times; if your children are still in single digits and you haven’t yet experienced the untold joys of Just So Festival, it’s time to wake up and smell the seasonal anticipation! As spring finally unfurls one sleepy eyelid and thoughts turn to free-roaming creative pursuits and family fun in the great outdoors, seasoned Just So’ers previously initiated into this alternative festival universe will already be plotting their tribal loyalties, top camping spots and hungrily eyeing the creatively packed programme. And they won’t be disappointed. This year’s special guests see the likes of Travelling Light Circus‘s magically mysterious giant experiences, highwire and tightrope workshops from the incredible Bullzini Family, high-octane dance-offs with Birmingham’s own creative choreography legend Rosie Kay, raucous brass bands and circus amazement, a feverishly competitive Ministry of Games, otherworldly theatrical magic in the Spellbound Forest and a Custard Catwalk (the clue’s in the title). Elsewhere the usual tribal crazy-play continues with untold untamed animal antics including the now infamous Just So Pillow Fight and a whole host of ridiculous, imagination-fuelled family-focused fun. So if your kids love to get lost in dance, sing, imagine, create, make a mess, battle, game, play, be bewitched, get messy, go wild and be utterly spellbound we suggest you don’t hang about for tickets. This kind of jam-packed fun deserves as much eeked-out anticipation as you can possibly muster.
