A collection of local emerging artists and producers will test their skills against each other at Selfridges’ Bullring store next week.
Hosted by music studio network Pirate, the brand’s signature AUX showcase takes over the store on Thu 24 Jul.
Local recording and production artists are invited to take part, and they’ll have a platform to showcase their tracks in front of an in-store audience, judged by musician Kojey Radical.
AUX is described as a fast-paced music battle where 15 up-and-coming artists each have one minute to play an original track. The audience votes after every round, while guest judge Kojey Radical selects one standout artist to reach the “Stick or Twist” final, where the top three return with just 30 seconds to claim the AUX title.
Winners will receive credits for time at Pirate Studio to hone their skills with studio time and tutoring. Whilst customers can join the audience to listen, judge and score the performances throughout the event.
Tickets are priced at £10, and can be booked below.
