The UK’s greatest living fop, Neil Hannon, comes to the Town Hall in October. A prolific and supremely gifted musician, as happy twisting his eccentric lyrics around the twee orchestral pop tunes of Divine Comedy as he is composing music for television. An old fashioned crooner whose ‘from another age’ style can belie the intellect and quality behind his music. Eleventh album ‘Foreverland’ is due for release in September. A consummate entertainer and professional Divine Comedy live shows are always a delight. It’s probably not the done thing but we will be shouting for an encore of ‘My Lovely Horse’.
