Digbeth busts its talent out and shows it off fullsome style every first Friday of the month with a whole creative showcase of cheap and free stuff to experience from exhibitions and late-night openings to special events, club nights and culture in unexpected spaces. Expect the vibrant likes of live music, street food, dance and lots of free flying creative sparks. This month’s highlights include Herstory LIVE (see link to our full feature below), Future Broth – performance, film & installations at Vivid Projects, ESP Summer Camp’s collaborative exhibition at Eastside Projects and BART – a private viewing of a publication featuring Birminingham Public Art. With most events free or minimal cost, arty party goers on a budget are in further luck as Digbeth’s Community Garden hosts a Pop up Poetry cafe with drinks, spoken word, music and food courtesy of the Real Junk Food Project, all on a donations/pay as you feel basis.
