Following a sleepy January, the first DFF of the year is back and ready to go off with a bang. With all the cutting-edge crew like Centrala, Eastside Projects, Grand Union and Vivid Projects opening new exhibitions to the public alongside clubbing, immersive stuff, flyposters and more. Grand Union exhibits Melanie Jackson and Esther psychedelic ‘Deeper in the Pyramid’ which explores milk as a diverse object with connections to genetics, fertilisation and even technology. Jackson’s work is eclectic, chaotic and other-worldly, be prepared for something completely unusual. Vivid Projects will be hosting a 4-day long exhibition entitled ‘Treeline’, a series of works which aims to combine the West Midlands with the gorgeous natural biology of Scandinavia and Wales. And the incredible Club Integral is also back, opening the doors to a parallel clubbing universe of audio-visual treats featuring live music from Spaceheads, Dofadoquebrado, Shott Ivangorod (LARVA), visuals from Rucksack Cinema and Japanese edible treats from Kam’s Daidoko.
