An exhilarating production celebrating hip-hop dance in its many forms comes to Birmingham Rep this March.

Cycles is described as movement at its ‘most fluid, distilled and skilled’. It is the latest work from Boy Blue, the UK’s most celebrated hip-hop dance theatre company.

Winners of the 2024 Sky Arts Award for Dance, Boy Blue, founded by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante and Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy, have built a reputation as a radical force, continuously breaking boundaries and earning widespread critical acclaim.

Throughout the production, nine impossibly talented dancers will fill the stage with ‘unending motion’, exploring the connections between movement on stage, and the rhythm, groove and bounce of the music.
