A town famous for producing Charles Darwin and a certain dandruff suffering goalkeeper has now given birth to a bunch of noisy indie rocksters in the excellently monikered Shoot the Symphony. The much loved of Radio Salop five piece specialise in rousing anthemic riffs, melodic chorus’ and earnest lyrics. Debut EP Side Effects has been garnering much airplay, appearing on BBC introducing and causing ripples beyond the medieval confines of the Shropshire town. This will be their first headline show in Birmingham. Caffeine loving Brummies Coffee Breath provide support with their brand of hard edged indie punk and almost Ben Gibbard like vocals from Sam Tidmarsh. Any band that sings about marshmallows is worthy of our time. Also on the bill are son’s of Coventry, Candid, and Birmingham’s own Pinky. Four bands for six quid!
