This cutting edge night of spoken word, art, dance and music billed as part gig, part meal is an exciting attempt to meld emerging talent with more established artists of every genre and give them an opportunity to meet. Cultural networking if you will. The stops have well and truly been pulled out for the first event. Main draw is the formidable Kate Tempest with a spoken word performance. The award winning poet, playwright, rapper and spoken word artist has a genius level mastery of the English language. A real treat live and kudos to the mac for securing her. Amongst the raft of local artists appearing will be dancer Nathan Lafayette, the cute electronica of Dorcha and the poetry of Bethany Slinn. The event will be compered by Yshee Black with DJ Jack Parker providing the rest of the night’s soundtrack.
