Mall Grab has outlived the low-fi house trend that made his name – the crunchy, clipped beats and analogue synths that combined to create an ethereal atmosphere of emotional, vaporwave-y nostalgia. While these elements still comprise much of his arsenal, the man from down under has proved himself to be far more than just this. His sets as well as his original productions now feature elements of uplifting disco, understated techno and squelchy acid, all coming together in an eclectic melting pot of styles. 2017 was a big year for Mall Grab, culminating in a Mixmag cover story and a flurry of international festival appearances, and he’s kicking off 2018 with a headline tour of the UK.
